Different furniture retailers sell different types of leather furniture such as aniline leather, full grain leather, and split grain leather. At La-Z-Boy South Texas, we only sell one type of leather, and it is top grain leather.
The reason we only use top grain leather is because it is the most durable and aesthetically pleasing type of leather. Top-grain leather goes through a little bit more of a polishing process than full-grain leather, though it is very similar to full-grain leather due to its purity. It will go through a buffing process which will make it softer than full-grain leather.
