While La-Z-Boy is a global manufacturer with plants around the world, La-Z-Boy South Texas furniture is pulled from plants right here in the United States of America. Among our plants across the world, we do not manufacture any La-Z-Boy furniture in China.
During the economic crisis of 2008, many furniture manufacturers outsourced all of their furniture-making overseas to capitalize on lower-cost labor. La-Z-Boy did not follow suit and we upheld our standard of American-made furniture.
Here at La-Z-Boy South Texas, all of our furniture from our oversized recliners to our high leg recliners are made in America and shipped to us from our plants in the United States.
American Heritage
The original La-Z-Boy recliner was was invented in 1928 by cousins Edwin J. Shoemaker and Edward M. Knabusch. The creation of the classic recliner sparked a greater vision from the cousins.
Since then, La-Z-Boy’s standard has been to only sell furniture that is constructed with the highest quality materials available. We employ thousands of people across the country who cut, sew, assemble and sell millions of furniture pieces per year.
Global Headquarters
Our global headquarters is located in Monroe, Michigan. This was where the original La-Z-Boy recliner was invented by the two cousins.
